We present below an account of the BAlPhil 3rd Annual Medical & Dental Mission held last March 27, 2010 in celebration with our partners – the SM Foundation, lnc and the Bayambang National High School (BNHS) Alumni.

The word Hapinoy is a play on the words Happy and Pinoy, the colloquial word for Filipino. The Hapinoy Store Program focuses on the sari-sari stores in the Philippines (sari-sari is the Filipino word for “many or various kinds”), small neighborhood or village convenience stores or retail-based outlets that sell various things, mostly basic commodities. These kinds of stores are almost always located within or as an extension of the store owner’s home.

Handog is an outreach program of the Special Projects Committee to the marginalized old folks in four (4) homes for the elderly folks as a New Year offering in January 2010.

The elderly folks received goodies and special gifts from the BAIPhil membership. Volunteer BAIPhil members, honorary, sustaining and associate life members and friends of BAIPhil joined the visit.
